Banglatown

Well, guess what guys?
There is apparently some place called Banglatown in Britain! I did not know that before (no I do not live in England *hint* *hint*), and since I am Bengali, this is important enough for me to post on this blog! The government is planning to rename the area, and though this may not seem very important (like wow...a name is gonna be changed...so what?!), it is actually quite important. Banglatown is a symbol showing the large population of Bengali people in England, and renaming the area shows disregard for the race. For example, how would you Chinese folk feel if we renamed Chinatown to....Smith Lane? Huh? HUH?!
I think I have made my point...

Halloween

Halloween is approaching! Every year, my sister and I always wish that we could decorate our home, so people would know that we are actually celebrating Halloween, and that they could come to our house begging for candy like the little beggars they are. However, the maximum number of people is always two! No more! That is probably because our entire block is so dreary and no one really celebrates Halloween or decorates their homes...

This year, my sister and I actually bought some decorations! We bought different color cobwebs, spiders, window silhouettes and stickers, and of course lots of candy! We bought a lot more stuff but I cannot remember right now...

Every year we always buy a pumpkin to carve, but this year we bought two! In the past, they were always mediocre pumpkins, but this time we actually have a plan to make it a really amazing pumpkin!! I am so excited! :3

The Amazing Spider-Man

Hokay. This movie has been getting a lot of hate. People are bashing it online, and others won't watch it because they're afraid it'll be bad. People say it's stupid, and, this is just ridiculous. I have nothing against the other movies, but, quite honestly, this was the BEST Spider-man film I've ever seen. That is the complete and utter universal truth.
In my opinion, people are just upset that a remake was made so soon. They think they're doing the right thing by standing by the original, and are blinded by this. If people just got their heads out of the gutter, they would see that this movie is great, because it is. It probably has tons of great reviews.
And if people really think this movie is silly compared to the others, then I got news for you. You really can't compare them, because though they're based on the same character, they're two completely different ideas.
This can be said, though, this movie was more realistic. Peter Parker seemed more human. And this movie definitely went along more with the comics, the way it's supposed to be.
So if you're one of those people who are like this and are thinking all the wrong things about this awesome movie, you need to... well I don't want to say anything mean. The point is, all of you need to lay off the HATERADE because you're WRONG.

Pigeons

I'm so sorry, like really. I just had to. I had to tell everyone about how much I hate pigeons. I just don't like them. I think they're ugly. Except doves. Doves are nice. Well, then, I mostly hate pigeons because they do all their business EVERYWHERE. They eat everywhere. They POOP everywhere. I remember the first time a pigeon pooped on my head. No, I'm not going to talk about it. I mean, they even do inappro-pro stuff everywhere. We were outside on the street at school and there were these two pigeons... well... doing.... stuff. Once I actually bought myself a slingshot so I could shoot some pigeons. Then I found out it was illegal. And I live near the precinct. Ah.... oh well. Sucks for me. Pigeons are truly despicable creatures. Like flying rats.

Today Doesn't Seem To Be A Very Good Day

Okay.... A couple of bad things happened today. First off, at school. So, I was down on the third floor at school helping a couple of people plant some flowers for Mother's Day (which is soon, by the way). All of a sudden, the fire alarm starts going, "WOOOOOOWOOOOWOOOOOO." That's kind of how I remember it. But everyone was saying, " Oh, it's cool, the alarm doesn't really ring like that, must be nothing". But then it goes, "WAAAAAH.WAAAAH.WAAAAAAH." It was ringing the way it usually was. Then a teacher comes from the room across from where I was at and yells, "Get out!" So all the people in the room, including me, run straight down the stairs. We stood outside, at the back of the school, for a while before we met the other people who stayed after school at the front. Some people were panicking, some just chatting. Kadiata and I weren't really worried, the same as most others, but then the fire trucks showed up. Then everyone freaked out, "O GOD WHAT IS GOING ON?! WHAT IF THE BUILDING IS ACTUALLY ON FIRE?!" Yes, we worried for people that were not out of the building yet, but all our STUFF was still in there. Our HOMEWORK was in there. My PHONE was in there. Not that I liked it anyway, if there was a fire and it did burn though, that would be a good excuse to get a new one. Well, there wasn't a fire, someone pulled the alarm. Great. We all panicked for nothing. So that, children, is why you don't pull the fire alarm at school unless there is an actual fire.
The next one is less descriptive, since I wasn't there to experience it. So I'm walking home from the bus stop and I see a whole mob of people standing at the door of the building, and there's an ambulance there. So I call my mom, because I have no idea what's going on. It turns out she didn't have any idea either. My mom was worried that something happened to my uncle (my uncle was at my house), so she called him. He was fine, just so you know. Well, my mom and I get to the front of the building and ask one of our neighbors standing in the mob what happened. It turns out that there was a big fight (there were even people watching from the windows) between two neighbors. The cops were there with the ambulance, so I'm guessing one went to the hospital and one got arrested.
The last one is (it actually wasn't that bad, really), today was the first day of Sex Ed Seminars. I don't really want to talk about that.

An in class Language Arts assignment on Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." The assignment was to pass notes to the person next to us. I was person B. Person A will soon join The Rant as well! Sold Out!

So of course One Direction THE BEST BOYBAND IN THE WORLD! YEA BUDDY! Sold out Madison Square Garden in under a minute! A record breaker! That's great right? Yea not so much. More than half the the tickets went to scalpers :( Now it's super expensive to get a ticket and none of my friends and I have tickets :( Well one of them does...happy for her but jelly too. So I guess I'l just get tickets for their 2013 tour then.......

Update

This an update on the blog. We have a new blogger cookieluvah - A HUGEEEEEEEEEE Oreo and Pokemon fan :D So yea the Hunger Games movie was great and we're all so sad that the director quit. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are engaged! Cookieluvah's mummy is a BIG FAN and has been thinking up a strategy for sneaking into the wedding, now for all of you people going "wait I thought these people were American. We are. Lately I've been reading too much Sugarscape. I LOVE SUGARSCAPE! THEY ARE THE BEST! Love One Direction, Justin Bieber, The Wanted, JLS, Jessie J and more!? The Hunger Games

Now, then. The Hunger Games was one of the choices in the poll, and even though it a runner-up, it still gets a post. Something I've noticed about the Hunger Games is that ever since the movie came out, it's been HUGE. I've seen several jokes about it on the internet, and they're quite hilarious. The first thing I'd like to talk about on this topic is something that I find very odd. When we weirdos first read the book, no one knew about it. We had to read it for summer homework, and one day I took it to camp and no one had any idea what it was about. Then around the time that school started the book began to get bigger, and then, 1 and a half years later, the movie comes out. It's so weird, this book that we thoroughly analyzed, and discussed throughout the year, we had to do homework on it, it becomes one of the biggest things ever. Now, next thing, this whole teams thing. There's people that go around saying, "Twilight sucks, Hunger Games rules!" only for the next thing they say to be, "So, what team are you, Team Gale or Team Peeta?". Now that's just ridiculous people. Hypocrites. Bunch of hypocrites. The whole teams thing started with Twilight and you know it. Next thing, the people at the movie theater. Sometimes they were funny, sometimes quite annoying. A couple of friends went to a theater together, and they told me about how there were some girls sitting near them who were saying, "Oh my gosh, Gale is like, so HOT", you know, in that stereotypical annoying girl voice. In the theater where I was, the funniest part would have to be when Katniss kissed Peeta and then they showed Gale and he was all jealous, and everyone was going, "Oooooooooooooooooo...". I still laugh when I think about that. Okay, now I'm done, I strongly recommend watching the movie if you haven't yet, if you have, IT WAS GREAT, WASN'T IT?
BTW, did you hear that the guy who directed the Hunger Games isn't directing Catching Fire anymore? What if  Catching Fire doesn't come out at all?! Now that would just be terrible, that movie has great potential.

The Worst Award Show Ever

A new weirdo is revealed! It is no longer three friends, it is four! So, anyway, I am cookieluvah, and I shall rant about the worst award show ever, the Kids Choice Awards. That was the worst night of my life, I don't even know why I watched it. In my opinion, all the wrong people won. Let's start with, Diary of a Wimpy Kid beat out the Hunger Games for best book series. And sure, sure, the KCAs are for little kids, little kids don't comprehend the Hunger Games, blah, blah, and then someone from Twilight wins. I would like it for someone to explain to me how on earth Twilight could possibly be considered child-friendly. And sure, kids like vampires blah, blah but those things on Twilight are not vampires, they are little twinkling faeries, what kind of vampire twinkles in the sunlight? Well, now, the most heartbreaking part of the show, the end. I was praying for Bruno Mars to win. And guess who does. Justin Bieber. Justin Bieber. It's one thing for Bruno Mars to just lose, but he lost to Justin Bieber. But I know, in my heart, that Bieber didn't deserve it. At least he got slimed. I hope it was really hot slime. Now, this ranting has brought me to a conclusion. The kids who voted are the future of our country. We're not looking too good for the future.

Snowy Days

I won't tell you where I live, but I will tell you that it did not snow much this Winter so far. Usually schools have to shut down for a day or two during the end of December and start of January, but today was the first day we had some REAL snow, and it was so wimpy! It was like...2 or 3 inches of snow!
I WANT SOME 1 FOOT SNOW!!!

I shouldn't be saying this...I always jinx things. Like that time in elementary school when I said the test was really easy and I aced it? It was my worst score that year. And that other time when I said the weather was too rainy? The next day it was so hot, no one could even bear to go outside. Yea, you see? I always jinx it. These are only two examples. Trust me. This kind of jinxing runs in our family. IT DOES!!! You don't believe me? Well then! I. DON'T. CARE!!!!
But anyways, it will probably snow so much that no one will be able to walk outside. They will be trapped inside their homes. NO PLEASE! Last year, (though I enjoyed my snow days), there were a lot of people who had a problem with the snow. For example, a person was dying of...something, but an ambulance was stuck mid-road. Huh..yea..that is pretty sucky. Not probably happening this year. Hope not.
But I still want more substantial snow!!
Yep, it's all because of global warming! I KNEW it was global warming! DAMN YOU NO GOOD LITTERERS!!!...oh wait...I dropped that lollipop wrapper in the trash can right? RIGHTT??????
