Height Problems

Good day pink masters ^_^ As you guys can tell it's lwang1341. Who else calls you guys all these weird things and obnoxiously uses emoticons to end her sentences instead of periods?

Today I wanted to talk about something that myself and my fellow bloggers have noticed about ourselves. We are either short or tall and we either get shorter or taller depending on the circumstances. Now as for myself I have always considered myself average/tall. In elementry school when they had us line up in size order I was always in the middle or towards the back, but, and I emphasize the "but", I was never last in line. I thought that I was at a pretty decent height seeing how I went back to middle school this summer for alumni "game night" and I basically towered over all of the girls there.

In photography camp I also considered myself average seeing as if you were to line us up in height order I would be right smack in the middle. However, the moment I step foot into family territory, whether it be a cousin's house or my house I am automatically "short". To give you guys a reference I am approximately 5ft 4.3in or about 164.14 cm tall. I swear the .3 inches make all the difference in the world. Many of you guys might think that I'm young and I can still grow, but I actually haven't even grown a centimeter from last year. Now to give you guys even more of I reference I live in the United States where the average woman is about 5 ft 4.5 in. I am however Chinese and the average Chinese woman is about 5 ft 2. So if you guys want to get super duper technical I am "shorter" than the american average by about .2 in and taller than the Chinese average by a bit more than two inches. Coolios I'm just average, done right?

Nope, not done. My own cousin who is around 4 ft 7 in deems me as "short" -_- I have no problem with people taller than me calling me short but seriously? At least be over 5ft if you want to call me short=_= I can see where she is coming from though. My family is pretty damn tall for a group of asians. My mom and all of my aunts are about 5ft 7(170 cm). I have a female cousin who is almost 6 ft (roughly 180cm) tall. All the males in my family above the age of 14 are over 5ft 9. My grandfather is about 6ft 1. My parents are 5ft 7 and 5ft 10-11 respectively. My uncle is the shorty in the family just barely brushing 5'9 lol

My mom constantly tells me that I'm short and that my sister and my 4'7" cousin will surpass me in height....are you serious? I can she how my YOUNGER sister who is only .05 inches shorter than me will surpass me but seriously? Last time I checked purberty does wonders but I doubt it will shoot a person up a whole foot. I myself only grew 4 inches. My mom could be an Asian model, yes our species is that short don't hate, and she doesn't get that she's motherfrikin tall as herrrrr. I tell her that I am taller than pratically every Asian female outside of our family and she responds with "Well what about Caucasians?". I have to admit I am shorter than a lot of Caucasians that I have met, but I have also met a decent amount of Caucasians who are SHORTER than me *snap*.

Outside of my family I'm basically considered tall by my school mates and my fellow Asians. I'm basically at least half a head taller than most of my girl and some of my guy friends. It is pretty awkward at times, but being my height I guess I can do without heels at special occasions for the next few years yay! So while my mom prays to the heavens above for a late growth spurt I shall bask in the glory of my tall, er um, short, er um ..........I just like my height okay.....

I'm pretty sure another blogger will do a blog post about being short too so until then ; )
