To tell you the truth, we haven't been able to post too much on here not because we forgot about this blog *cough* *cough* but because all of us were very busy with high school application.
Oh no! You now know our ages! Oh well....not like you know anything else about us. :P
We are not just applying to public schools or just catholic schools, yea just take the SHSAT (or the TACHS for catholic schools) and get it over with (oh now you know where we live too...). We are applying to private day and boarding schools, and to tell you the truth, it has been very difficult.
I guess it would not be as bad if it was just sending applications to all the school then we are done. Each of the schools (I applied to 8 day schools) require not only applications, but some sort of separate essay or something. Isntniallerlovely touched on the essay thing below.
And not only that - we also had to keep up with all our school work, since the teachers were as unforgiving as ever. But I guess it isn't all their fault, we cannot just stop learning just to get the high school stuff in on time. Besides, our school basically took care of sending all the teacher recommendations and student files and all that stuff so it was less to worry about.
Also, for people like me and kaykay, we had to do all our financial aid stuff by ourselves as well. Yes, that means filling out a bunch of other stuff and sending and scanning a lot of documents to the schools so we can make private school affordable. All. By. Ourselves. Yes, this makes us a lot more independent and prepared for college, but while we are in the process, it does not seem all that glorified and appealing.
But yes. The process is over! Most of the day school folk already know what schools they are going to. Currently, I am still waiting for one school to see whether I got in or not, but I pretty much know what high school I am going to next year.
The people who applied to boarding school (isntniallerlovely applied to one) will be finding out in March I believe. We already got our results from the catholic schools but I do not think anyone in our grade is actually going there. We are finding out our results from the specialized public and regular public schools in March 15.
Despite all our obstacles and troubles, I do daresay that this year has gone by relatively quickly! :)
