Inspiration #1

Hello my yummy resees pieces....is that even how you spell it? Well anyway school is starting on Monday for me and I decided to do away with sleep and write this blog post because I love you guys <3 *wink* *wink* So I am inspired by a lot of things and people so I think that every month or so I'll do one of these inspiration posts. I like to think that I'm pretty into photography, specifically photo-journalism, and I really like film as well; so if you guys also like photography and film I think you guys will like these blog posts.

So the first person I'm going to introduce to you guys, and some...or a lot of you guys might already know about him. His name is Sawyer Hartman and he is a full-time YouTuber.

A YouTuber is basically what it sounds like. It's people who make YouTube videos for a living.

Now if you guys have been living under a rock with no wifi connection for the past five years you're probably ridiculing me through the computer screen. Well it used to be that YouTube was a mecca of low-quality, silly, homemade videos where people lip synced the Pokemon theme. Since then YouTube has grown tremendously and it's now home to quite a few talented filmmakers; Sawyer Hartman being one of them.

I absolutely adore his "Thru My Eyes" videos and I love the remake of the horror film "Strangers" that he did. His "Thru My Eyes" videos consists of him filming all the places he travels to and then putting it to music. I know that sounds pretty easy to do but the way he does it is just pure art. I'm quite partial to the England one because you can tell that he really amped up the saturation of the shots which is how I like to photoshop my pictures lol. He does a lot of the videos in slow motion too which justs enhances the richness of each angle and emphasizes the emotion in each shot. Not to mention he chooses fantastic songs that go perfectly with each video and the mood that they try to convey.

Sawyer Hartman is truly talented, but besides making amazing amazing films he also does a lot of typical YouTuber things such as vlogging and doing collabs. It's really nice to see videos with absolutely no technique involved; where he just sets his camera on a tripod and talks.

So I will have Sawyer's YouTube channel linked at the end of this blog post. Please check him out because I want you guys to love him as much as I love him.

So until next time *muah* (that's supposed to be a kiss)
