Rebecca Black's Friday Review

Well Rebecca Black has officially become a Youtube sensation with over 40 million views on her video. Some of you may have noticed that when I get my happy I make faces or put an exclamation point after it. Well I am not happy, because this is terrible news! The song is bad, the production is bad, and the girl has no talent. I'm sorry she just has no talent at all. First of all if this song is not a parody, then...Parodys in my opinion are the only songs allowed to have bad lyrics and autotune(no offence to 2NE1. I <3 them!). The song is like Friday, Friday, gettin down on Friday. It's almost like Justin Bieber's Baby, baby, baby noooooooo!Forget it, she's not even worth comparing. JB is on a whole different level compared to her! Talking about the days of the week in a song is kind if cheesy. They audience screaming "yeah!" is just....That's like the kiss of death for any music video. The production was also really bad. I think that I could do better.. and I'm in middle school! First of all, it's so obvious that she is standing in front of a greenscreen. When she wakes up she sings "gotta have cereal". Everyone around her is rushing and she's just standing there with her bookbag on singing. Then "gotta go down to the bus stop, gotta catch my bus. I see my friends. What seat can I choose?". She could just go! But no, she has to be a diva and just stand there and wait. Then this 50 year old guy comes out rapping out of nowhere! The rap doesn't even make sense. Rappers usually say their name before they start rapping, but this guy is like, R.B. Rebecca Black...say your name not the girl's! Then "chiilin in the front seat, in the back seat" well your driving so obviously you have to be in the front seat. She seems very uncomfortable during the whole thing. Her voice is nasally and she sings with no emotion. Voice is totally flat and if using autotune can't make your voice sound better than...that is the definition of notalent. The only thing she has is looks and money. I heard that her mom paid the guys at Ark Music $2,000,000 to make the music video.

  1. Did you see the parody by Kyle Cease? Well, it was funny. However, he made an important message to Rebecca Black saying that all amazing people have lovers and haters and the thing is if they can handle it. He was saying how her video was the top video on Youtube. Also, he said that the haters do not hate toward her, but they have an inner rage that they could not accomplish as much as her and that her lovers will be for life. I agree with the top stuff, and I have two things to say.
    1. Rebecca Black does not sing well, as a fact. If she did, she would not find the need to use autotune in everything.
    2. Her lovers may stay for life, but many of them will go away. Fame comes like a big wave. One year, there is this "talk of the world" artist, and the next year, they just disappear, another person taking their place. The trick is to find how to overcome the great wave and go above it. Even if the great wave produces a horrible artist, people always find a way to put the greatest artists on top of the great wave, and the lower ones are just "out." Other people just follow the wave, so when she is "out," many people will not care about her anymore.
Kyle Cease kept mentioning that she had 20 million + views, but did he see that 9/10 of the video was dislikes? Most people viewed it because it was so bad, not because it was amazing!
